Our Mission
At Tiny Vines Nursery, we are dedicated to providing loving, individualized care for infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. We specialize in caring for children under two, ensuring their emotional, physical, and developmental needs are met with responsive care, gentle guidance, and enriching activities.

At Tiny Vines Nursery, we are not just growing little vines—we are cultivating strong roots for a lifetime of learning, confidence, and joy.

Our Philosophy
We believe that every child deserves a secure, loving, and stimulating space where they can flourish during their most formative years. Our approach is rooted in play-based learning combined with Montessori principles, creating a child-centered environment where exploration, discovery, and independence drive early development.

We emphasize:
-
Individualized Care – Tailoring interactions and activities to each child’s unique needs.
-
Early Growth & Intuitive Learning – Fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence through hands-on experiences.
-
Strong Family Partnerships – Open communication and collaboration to align care with your family’s values.
-
A Safe & Healthy Environment – Prioritizing well-being with a foundation of trust, love, and Health & Safety Certifications.
Health & Safety
At Tiny Vines Nursery, your child’s well-being is our top priority. I am certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid, Preventative Health & Safety practices, and emergency procedures for infants and toddlers. All adults living in the home and any present during daycare hours are background checked with approved clearances. As a mandated reporter, I am required to report any suspected abuse or neglect.
Child-to-Caregiver Ratio:
Tiny Vines Nursery focuses on children under 3 years old. We enroll no more than 4 full time children at a time. We do accept drop-in care. When drop-in children are present, we may have up to 6 children in care.

-
We are licensed to care for up to 6 children at a time, depending on the ages of children in care.
-
When all children are under 2 years old (Infants), there will be no more than 4 infants in care.
-
When at least one child is over 2 years old, there can be no more than 3 infants in care
To maintain a healthy environment, children must stay home if they have:
-
A fever with behavior changes or other signs of illness.
-
Vomiting or diarrhea.
-
Any other contagious or communicable condition.
-
An inability to participate comfortably in regular activities.
-
A level of care needed that would compromise the health and safety of others.
Children must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours without medication before returning to care.
The safety of the children is our top priority. While we take precautions to ensure a safe environment, minor accidents or injuries may occur during a child's exploration.
-
Injuries will be promptly assessed and first aid administered.
-
Injuries will be reported on Brightwheel. Significant injuries (head bumps, bites) will result in immediate parent notification.
-
For severe injuries, 911 will be called and the child will be transported to a medical facility. Parents will be contacted immediately.
Immunization Policy:
To maintain a healthy environment and follow state mandates, children must be fully vaccinated based on their age. Enrolled children are required to update immunizations as they become eligible for the next doses. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from childcare.
Emergency Preparedness:
-
Fire, earthquake, and lockdown drills are conducted every six months.
-
In the event of an evacuation, parents will be notified via Brightwheel with pick-up instructions.
-
Emergency contact information must be kept up to date.
-
We maintain a stocked emergency kit with first aid supplies, snacks, water, and other essentials.
-
Each child is required to provide a small toddler backpack (we recommend one with a "leash" option, which can help keep your child safer during emergencies. We do not use the "leash" regularly). Backpacks will be brought with your child anytime we leave the childcare property (walks, field trips, and emergencies).
-
We will fill this with about a day's worth of the child's diapers, a spare outfit, and a spare bottle/cup (provided by the family). We will also put emergency contact information in their bag, including the child's emergency card and a Tiny Vines Nursery business card.
-
Cleanliness & Sanitation:
We maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment for the well-bing of the children. Toys, equipment and play areas are regularly inspected for cleanliness and damage.
Daily Cleaning
High-touch surfaces, toys, and play areas are sanitized, and diaper stations are disinfected after each use.
Weekly Deep Cleaning
The nursery is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized weekly.
Handwashing
Children and staff wash hands frequently, especially before meals, after diaper changes and outdoor play.
Illness Control
Toys and equipment used by sick children are sanitized immediately.

Meet Miss Jazz
Owner of Tiny Vines Nursery
Hello! I’m Jadzia, the owner and provider at Tiny Vines Nursery. I have been a childcare provider for over 10 years. I started with babysitting as a teenager, had my own daughter, and began nannying. Over the years I also worked in elderly and disabled care, but caring for little ones has always been my passion, and I’m thrilled to bring that love and experience to families here in Napa.

I have been married to my amazing husband, Dakota, since May 2018, and together we are the proud parents of two wonderful girls, Zoie and Ivy. As a mom to both a preteen and a toddler, I understand the joys and challenges of parenting at every stage. Our family has lived in Napa on and off for the past seven years, and we love exploring the outdoors together through traveling, camping, and spending time in nature. Dakota has been my biggest supporter in making my goal of opening Tiny Vines Nursery a reality.

At Tiny Vines Nursery, I strive to create a home-away-from-home atmosphere where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to grow. With my dedication, experience, and passion for early childhood care, I’m excited to partner with you in fostering your child’s development during these precious early years.Thank you for considering Tiny Vines Nursery as a part of your family’s journey!
