Daily Rhythm
At Tiny Vines Nursery, our days follow a gentle, predictable rhythm that supports young children through play, connection, rest, and routine. While each day is responsive to the needs of the children in care, our overall flow remains consistent and is enriched by weekly rhythms and monthly themes.
Our Daily Rhythm
Arrival & Free Play
Children arrive, settle in, and move into free play. This is a
gentle start to the day with time to explore, connect, and
transition into care at their own pace.
8:00am - 9:45am
Morning Activity
This block may include art, sensory play, music, stories,
movement, or outdoor play when weather allows. Activities are
kept age-appropriate, flexible, and responsive to the group.
10:00am - 12:00pm
Nap / Quiet Time
Toddlers are offered a consistent nap or quiet rest period.
Babies follow their own feeding and sleep rhythms as needed.
1:00pm - 3:30pm
Afternoon Activity
Afternoons may include outdoor time, active play, an alternate
activity, or free play depending on the weather, energy of the
group, and needs of the day.
3:45pm - 4:30pm
AM Snack
We pause for a morning snack and drinks, along with
bathroom/diapering and any quick reset before moving into the
next part of our day.
9:45am - 10:00am
Lunch
We eat lunch together, then clean up and begin settling the
space for a quieter part of the day.
12:00pm - 1:00pm
PM Snack
After quiet time, we regroup for an afternoon snack and drinks
before moving into our afternoon block.
3:30pm - 3:45pm
Wind Down & Pick Up
The last part of the day is for winding down, tidying up, and
preparing for parent pickup. Children are supported through a
calm transition home.
4:30pm - 5:00pm
A Flexible, Child-Led Flow
Our routine offers predictability, but not pressure. Infant and toddler care naturally requires flexibility, so timing may shift based on naps, meals, weather, and the needs of the children present. We follow a steady flow each day while leaving room for responsive care, child-led play, and real-life rhythms.
Our Weekly Rhythm
In addition to our daily flow, each week follows a gentle rhythm that brings variety to our days. These touchpoints help guide our activities while still leaving plenty of room for spontaneity, play, and the interests of the children.
