Drop-In Care
Occasional, relationship-centered care for infants, toddlers, and young children in a small home-based setting in Napa.
Drop-in care at Tiny Vines Nursery is designed for families who need occasional support rather than a regular weekly schedule—whether for work coverage, appointments, errands, or simply a little breathing room.
Children are welcomed into our gentle daily rhythm with extra care for transitions, especially on early visits.
A small, thoughtful option for occasional care
Tiny Vines Nursery is a calm, home-based program focused on emotional safety, respectful routines, and developmentally appropriate care.
Because this is a small-group setting, drop-in care is offered on a limited, pre-approved basis when space is available and a requested day is a good fit for the group. Drop-in care does not secure an ongoing enrollment space, and approval for one date does not guarantee future availability.

When drop-in care may be available

Want to ask questions first?
Some families are ready to complete the Drop-In Self-Enrollment Packet right away, while others prefer to ask questions, talk through whether the program is a good fit, or request a tour first.
Families who are interested in drop-in care and would like to connect before enrolling are welcome to begin with the standard interest form. Families seeking drop-in care may complete required enrollment documentation without a tour, subject to approval and availability.
Key drop-in policies
A few important policies help keep drop-in care clear, safe, and predictable for everyone.

Drop-in care is offered on a space-available basis and is never guaranteed.

All drop-in, evening, and overnight care must be scheduled and approved in advance. Unscheduled or unannounced arrivals cannot be accepted.

Same-day requests may be considered when space allows, but they are not guaranteed.

Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance may receive a credit to the family account. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice are non-refundable.

All drop-in payments are non-refundable once the scheduled care period begins. No refunds or adjustments are made for absences, late arrival, early pickup, schedule changes, or illness.

Repeated policy violations or ongoing concerns may result in denial of future drop-in requests.
Illness and arrival expectations
Children attending drop-in care must be well enough to participate comfortably in normal activities and may be excluded if they are ill, require more care than can be safely provided in group care, or pose a risk of spreading illness to others. If a child becomes ill during care, parents must arrange pick-up within one hour.
Children should arrive and depart according to their approved reservation time. Families are generally asked to arrive by 9:30 AM unless prior arrangements have been made. If a child has not arrived by 9:30 AM and no communication has been received, the group may proceed with planned outings or activities, and care may not be available upon late arrival.
