Owner & Provider of Tiny Vines Nursery
Hi, I’m Jadzia — “Miss Jazz” to the little ones in my care. I’m the owner and sole provider at Tiny Vines Nursery, a licensed Family Child Care Home here in Napa.
Because Tiny Vines is intentionally small, I’m the person families communicate with and the caregiver children build their everyday relationship with.
My Path to Child Care
More than a decade of caring for children
I’ve worked with children for over a decade, beginning as a babysitter and nanny before opening Tiny Vines Nursery.
Those years gave me experience with children across different ages, personalities, routines, and family needs. Becoming a mother added another perspective — one that made me even more aware of how much trust is involved in choosing someone to care for your child.
That combination of experience has shaped the kind of provider I want to be: steady, observant, responsive, and genuinely invested in knowing each child well.

The kind of care I would want for my own children
I opened Tiny Vines Nursery to create the kind of small, responsive care environment I would want for my own children: familiar, personal, and grounded in trust.
I value the responsibility families place in me and the opportunity to support them through their child’s early years.
My Approach to Care
Warm, responsive, and guided by the child in front of me
My approach is steady, observant, and responsive. I pay attention to the child in front of me and aim to communicate clearly, guide respectfully, and provide the consistency young children need.

A Provider and a Parent
I understand the trust involved from both sides
My husband and I are raising three children of our own, so I’m living many of the rhythms of childhood alongside the families I care for.
Being a parent has deepened my understanding of how vulnerable it can feel to leave your baby or young child in someone else’s care. It has also reinforced how important the practical pieces are: communication, flexibility, patience, consistency, and knowing that someone is paying attention to the little things.
I don’t expect every family to parent exactly as I do. My role is to understand your child, communicate clearly with you, and provide consistent care that supports their development and needs while they are here.
Training & Preparedness
Care backed by training and clear safety practices
Warm, responsive care also needs a strong foundation of health, safety, and professional responsibility.
My current training includes Adult, Pediatric & Infant CPR and First Aid, Preventative Health & Safety Practices, Pediatric Nutrition, and Lead Poisoning Prevention, along with the training and ongoing requirements associated with operating a licensed California Family Child Care Home.
In addition to required training, I choose continuing education courses that support child development, responsive care, inclusion, health and safety, and the changing needs of the children in my program.
I maintain required records, emergency procedures, safe sleep practices, supervision standards, and health policies as part of the everyday operation of Tiny Vines.
A Little More About Me
Beyond the daycare day
Outside of Tiny Vines, much of my time is spent with my own family. I enjoy the same kinds of simple experiences that naturally find their way into the program — getting outside, reading together, making things, exploring familiar places, and noticing what children become interested in when they’re given enough time.
Tiny Vines reflects a lot of what I value personally: a peaceful home, genuine relationships, curiosity, flexibility, and finding meaning in ordinary everyday moments.
